Praetorians is a raiding guild found on Blackwater Raiders rp realm. We have just upgraded our vent server to 50 seats and we will continue to upgrade as needed. These services do not come free. Please feel free to become a guild sponsor by making a small donation. A Very Special Thank You to Our Please Check In Game Calendar
We are a family of people from different backgrounds that hold a common bond, to have fun and help each other succeed. We ask for respect, a level of maturity, and a willingness to cooperate with our guild rules. Guild Rules #1) Be respectful and courteous of your fellow guildmates. Guild chat should be clear of negative comments and excessive foul language. If you have a problem with someone, do not gossip - bring it up to an officer in a discreet way without causing a scene. This also means no drama in guildchat or excessive spam. Take these things privately or in separate private channels. Please try to remember that sometimes things are misunderstood in text chatting and jokes are not always taken as jokes. #2)Do not beg. If you need reasonable assistance, such as materials, enchants, or extra help in putting a group together, bring it up to an officer or someone that can assess the situation and accordingly make a decision. #3)Never forget that you carry the Guild's Name above your head at all times, conduct yourself in a manner which will earn respect from your fellow players, not contempt. #4)If you plan on having a leave of absence, tell an officer. If you disappear for two months without giving notice, don't expect to have the guild tag when you return.
#1) Come prepared. If you are coming to a raid, you are expected to be there and completely ready ON TIME. Do not expect a summon unless you have a valid reason for being late. If you are still not ready, don't be surprised if you lose your spot. If you aren't sure what to bring, use common sense. If you still aren't sure, talk to an officer. Being ready means having: - The correct gear. There is no reason to be in kara with gimped gear. If you are, you are holding everyone back that has put the time and effort into being prepared. At the very least, put some effort into getting arena gear. - Being fully repaired and having money for repairs later - Appropriate potions/poisons/reagents - FULL understanding of your class/role and each encounter. If you are ever unsure of something, ASK first. - A good respectful attitude, alertness, and ability to follow instructions. - Any requested addons installed and ready to use - Ability to listen on ventrillo
#3)Do not ask for loot. We know it is exciting to talk about drops, but it is important to remain quiet. Wait patiently until the loot master is ready to distribute an item. Everyone needs to be quiet during this time so it can be done efficiently and fairly. Please keep in mind that when a guildmate wins loot over you - it is still greatly benefiting the raid. Be happy for them and do NOT rain on their parade. Guildmates are friends in the game, we need everyone in shape to succeed into further content. It is also normal for those that put in more time to be more rewarded accordingly. #4)Good attendance. If you expect to be invited on a raid, be ready and available for the entire slotted raid time. This shows that you are committed to helping the guild progress and will be selected more often for raiding content. There will be alocated away times for breaks only; if there is an emergency or a very quick break needed (as in no longer than around 2 minutes) - bring it up to the guild leader first. If you are repeatedly taking breaks or having poor attendance, you will be removed from raiding groups. You will find that the time you put in to learning an encounter will make achieving it 100 times more fulfilling. #5)Be self-aware. Even if you have just one job to do, you should have an understanding of things going on around you and be able to adjust on the fly accordingly. If you see a problem, let an officer know. It may be a simple misunderstanding or a major issue you have found. #6)Perform your job at top efficiency. DPS'ers will be required to maintain damage levels, healers required to maintain healing done, and tanks required to tank effectively. Performance will be gauged relative to others in the same class as well as classes with the same role. Performance objectives may change with raid instance requirements. Healers may be required to dps or tank. DPS'ers may be required to perform crowd control or decursing type functions. Tanks may be required to DPS. Other negative issues such as pulling aggro, unintended pulls, poor positioning, wiping the raid, etc., will also count toward performance. Players whose performance is significantly lower than others of the same class/major role will begin receiving warnings. Raiders
#1) If you wish to join the guild, you will have to go through a probationary period where your ability and demeanor will be assessed to see if you will fit. Loot priority will be given to full time members before recruits. Gear Excel OS
